Adept PortalADEPT’s primary goal is to provide teachers with an accessible means to develop physical literacy and cognitive understanding in the dance classroom within the Physical Education National Curriculum. The Adept Portal, is available 24/7 and provides teachers with ‘pick up and go’ resources which have integrated learning objectives and clear assessment opportunities.

The aim is to enable teachers to get beyond 'baseline assessment' and via the cognitive activities ensure that all children regardless of practical ability are given an opportunity to demonstrate understanding of Dance and show progression via a mixture of learning opportunities, differentiated tasks and an array of teaching styles.

Overall the portal aims to raise achievement in the classroom and ensure that all children learn and enjoy Dance as an area of activity within the Physical Education National Curriculum 2000. This is supported by the pupil site entitled 'The Action Zone' which pupils can access both at school and home to enhance their learning and understanding of Dance.

We hope to raise achievement, self esteem, develop both pupil and teacher confidence and develop a positive opinion of Dance in schools. To read more information, please open or download the document on this page entitled, ADEPT Portal Information.
