Dance in Education Services were approached by the Ladder Centre to devise a project designed to engage young people in the South Duham area. The Dance In Education Services team worked their usual magic and devised a project, which would not only provide opportunities for the youngsters to sing, dance, act, but they would also find themselves featuring in an MTV style dance video and working with some well known TV personalities!
Andrea Mallen, Director of Dance In Education Services contacted some of her ex-students and arranged for dancer Matt Mills (Dont Stop Believing) and Johnny Dixon (Daryl Morton, Coronation Street) to come up and work with the youngsters.
The youngsters thoroughly enjoyed the day and couldn't believe their eyes when Johnny and Matt walked into the studio. The young people also got to feature in a number of newspaper articles which were featured in the Evening Gazette and Advertiser!
