This half term Andrea Mallen was commissioned to to devise and implement a dance programme for Continuums ‘I Am Me’ programme. This programme has been implemented in many schools in County Durham and is designed to build self-esteem and confidence in primary school pupils.

We launched the PA Academy in Bradford in 2011. This academy is designed to really put young people who are serious about dance and the performing arts through their paces. Currently we have 17 young people enrolled on the programme who are undergoing very specialist and specific training. All 17 are undertaking their Gold Arts Award. If you know of anyone who would benefit from studying with us, please give head office a call. The classes currently take place on a Tuesday evening at Mind the Gaps Studios in Bradford, west Yorkshire. Class times are 7.00pm – 9.00pm.
Our Activ8:Dance and Maths courses/workshops are proving to be very popular. As usual, we have developed a system to make the learning of mathematical principles and the numeracy strategy simple and easy to understand. These workshops are great for inspiring primary pupils to learn. Rebecca Cook will be putting a number of schools through their paces in May. Wednesday 9th February 2011. Rebecca Cook once again conducted our CPD Dance Core Skills training for Kirklees authority. All participants were once again blown away by the programme and were delighted at how the module broke Dance down into manageable bite size chunks and made it accessible for everyone. Dance In Education Services have been commissioned by Trinity and All Saints, Leeds to deliver teacher training modules. Modules will commence in March 2011.
